***IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!
***On APRIL 25 2008, 000WEBHOST.COM made some changes to their free hosting plan. cPanel was replaced by an integrated control panel and so this video is no longer directly applicable as some routines as slightly different now. The new system is just as powerful though as demonstrated by my Joomla installation tutorial. Joomla is THE most popular open source (free), community supported “website in a box”, complete with content management system.
With 000webhost and Joomla you can have your own free, very sophisticated website within hours. Watch the Joomla tutorial here:

You probably won’t get a subdomain of the same “890m.com” domain i got. 000webhost has several domains that it rotates. When i ckecked back a couple days after signing up they had started using “site88.net”. Soon they will use something else, or switch back to 890m.com. If you truly dislike the domain they using when you try to sign up, you will have to wait a few days.

It seems that 000webhost’s biggest “competition” is trap17.com and Astahost.com (same site, really), but go take a look at how ridiculous their “hosting credits” system is. No question, 000webhost is better.

000webhost.com also has paid hosting. It figures that once you start on their free service and get comfortable that you will want to stick around and upgrade. Click this link to see the difference between the free and paid service:

Anyway, I GUARANTEE you will be happy if you check out 000webhost.com. Use it to try things out and make temporary web sites. Even if you do end up upgrading, their paid service is totally reasonable price wise and fully fledged.
